I must get a million spam emails a day. More than half of those are viruses that go to the comp100 account. It's a good thing most of these virus programmers don't know english otherwise we'd be screwed

Ugh...I have to do Comp482.. this is bad... it almost reminds me of the days when I took comp320..
hmm.......i remember it like it was yesterday.....................
ahhhhh!!!
oh, this is very traumatic... from left to right it's Steve, Jimes, Gilbert, and Me getting r0xX0r3d by jigglypuff. Few people know the true power of Jigglypuff..

Here's a typical picture of our room... notice V and Dave studying diligently while Jimes and G play DDR.
Also notice Steve and Randy watching.
how can you do homework with arrows in your way??

People keep asking me if they can buy my And1 t-shirts. I always feel bad when I have to tell them that I'm they're not real And1 shirts and that I'm not selling them because I don't want to be sued. I don't know who'd want to wear a shirt that says "I took a dump in your living room" though.

muhahahaah!

Scar: Be prepared!
Cheech: We'll be prepared... for what?
Scar: For the last day of work!
Cheech: Why, are we getting fired?
Scar: No, fool, we're quitting, and Reuben is too.
Whoopi: Great idea! Who needs work?
Hyenas: No work, no work, la la la la la la!
Scar: Idiots! You'll have to go back to work after you graduate!
Cheech: But you said...
Scar: I'll win the lottery! Stick with me and you'll never go hungry again!
Whoopi: Yay! Alright, long live the king!
Hyenas: Long live the king! Long live the king!
What a momentous day. Today may mark the end of the summer and the end of my internship, but it also reminds us of new beginnings. A new school year, a new season, the return of old friends and the making of new friendships. It is a day of new website material. Yes, that's right, to commemorate orientation week and the beginning of autumn, i have taken the liberty of compiling a comprehensive list of all the great bathroom spots at rice. This is probably the most useful thing I've ever done for Rice University. So what are you waiting for? Click here.
This list is by no means complete, so additions, suggestions, comments, revisions, and violent reactions are welcome.

Wow, this weekend was action-packed! I went to Japan house-church, installed an afterburner into my gameboy advanced, watched The Lion King Musical, went to New Life Fellowship's fifth anniversary, ate in the karaoke room of Click!, played ghetto ball, watched Shaolin Soccer and played Warcraft 3. I would've put a link to a ghetto ball site, but it's too ghetto.

Join us or die

Well, it's been one year since our mission trip with LIFE Ministries to Japan. Eric just came back from japan with the Kenshin manga I asked him to get me so now I can finally read the rest of that series (i'm still missing books 23 and 24 though).

I'm going to New York for a couple of days for my cousin's wedding so no updates for awhile...

I went to Schlitterbahn yesterday with my church's youthgroup. To be honest, I was kinda dissappointed. Don't get me wrong--it was really fun and everything and we had a blast, but I was expecting more because everyone hypes it up so much. One ride that was really cool was the Master Blaster. They call it that because these blasts of water push your little two-person tube all the way down the slide. Unfortunately, somebody crossed out the "L" and the "S" from the sign and I got duped into reading the sign aloud. That was pretty embarassing.

On the way back we played Mafia, that beloved game of lying and deception. I think it was unbalanced because the townspeople kept winning. I think the problem was that we had too many cops and everyone listens to Ryan no matter what. In mafia you're not supposed to trust anyone. That's the funnest part of mafia--when everyone is confused and no one knows who's telling the truth. I'll get you next time, Gadget...

Today, a bunch of us got a lot of stuff from the Reebok outlet store in Katy Mills. So if you see some asian thugs walking around wearing the exact same reebok apparel then it's probably us. It'll be almost as embarassing as the time when Sean, Eric, and I wore the same Rice t-shirt to Japa101.

I saw West Side Story for the first time at Miller Outdoor Theatre for the first time EVER. I was really impressed by the acting, singing, and dancing. It was really an excellent performance. It just makes you sit back and say, "Wow, what a racist play."

oh yeah, i'm still sore from broomball on friday and I still smell cigarette smoke from Matt Bullard's Happy Hour.

Friday, July 26, 2002

what's wrong with me? I must be extremely sensitive to cigarette smoke or something because I can still smell it from Jillian's everywhere I go. The same thing happened to me when I took a trip with my family to Las Vegas back in the day.. i could smell the smoke for weeks. it ruins everything..the taste of food, the smell of food, the smell of my dog, the smell in jimes' room...oh wait, i guess that's a good thing.

Amazing. Truly Amazing. On behalf of Matt Bullard, I would like to thank everyone who came out to the second annual Matt Bullard Happy Hour. We had a great turnout...12 people from Rice/HCC alone!!
Just ask anyone who went, and they will tell you what a fun, memorable night it was. There were definitely many MMM's (Magical Matt Moments)
as Matt touched our lives and shaped the consciousness of our culture. There was also total domination as Matt broke the pop-and-shot record at Jillians (140 points for 500+ tickets).

Thanks Matt...for everything.

Pictures will come soon...in the meantime pics from last year's happy hour.

I sent out an evite for the Matt Bullard Happy Hour.
Now everybody thinks i'm psycho. Click here to see it..

On an unrelated note, why do the O-week themes suck now? Maybe since I had the Star Wars theme i expect much
more from O-week themes. or maybe i'm just a huge nerd.

i just ate at James Coney Island with some Rice people. Mmmm, haven't eaten there in a long time.. after that I drank a Strawberry Hulk from Smoothie King. I think my favorite job of all time so far was when I worked at Smoothie King the past two summers. The work wasn't hard at all, the atmosphere was very relaxed and laid back, all the smoothies I could drink, and since it was inside the Q, it gave me ample reason to work out regularly. The only bad thing was TGWTU (The Guy Who Throws Up: see beef story #25).
Yeah...I'm just gonna go ahead and say that i haven't had time to update my website recently....yeah....
I think keeping a daily log is tough. Many have tried. I think it was my sophomore year when almost everybody I knew started creating their own websites and attempted to keep daily logs. I think Krause did the best. He kept it up for a pretty long time but then I guess college finally took over. Sean didn't do quite as well. First it was daily log, then bi-weekly log, and eventually it became the bi-annual log. You've really got to appreciate those people who can come up with creative and interesting logs day after day. Maybe it's harder for me because I haven't taken a real english or writing class since high school (and even in high school it wasn't that real).
I haven't been working out as regularly as I used to.. I wonder what would happen if I stopped working out completely? Would I get really, really fat or even skinnier? Or would I just stay the same? Probably the latter. Oh well, there's always basketball and tennis (and occasional games of football) and that's kinda like working out except more fun.
Well, back to work. Hopefully I can finish the week without dropping anything into the toilet or spilling drinks all over my work area.

I'll keep it short and sweet. Work. Starcraft. Got killed in Starcraft. Metro. Tapioca Express. AIM. Updated webpage (new workout crew).

So after church today we played ghetto ball at the greenbriar courts. I like playing ghetto ball because it's interesting to watch how my rice friends and flip friends interact. Ghetto ball's also fun because the the basketball court itself plays a role in the outcome of the game. Just trying to avoid slipping and falling on your butt is a task unto itself. You also never know how the backboard will react when the ball hits it. Sometimes you could throw the ball as hard as you possibly can into the backboard and it will go in, and other times it will bounce off the backboard in unpredictable directions. One other thing is the amount of dirt and leaves on the court. You can tell someone's been playing at the greenbriar courts when their shirt is dirty and they have leaves stuck to their pants.
Later on we went swimming at Kong's place and to my surprise I saw my brother there! Not many of my Rice friends have even seen my brother. It's like I'm in a whole different world when I'm among the Rice/Houston Chinese Church crowd than when I'm with my brother and our mutual friends, but when they meet it feels like worlds are colliding. Anyway, so at the pool I played a wicked game of "mercy" with Jonathan TZU. It ended in a draw, but Jonathan was pretty much in control the whole time and I was just trying not to get my fingers broken. It's funny how when the adrenaline's pumping you don't feel that much pain but afterwards when the reality sets in that your fingers have been bent and stretched in angles and directions God never intended, I just have to ask myself, "what the heck was I thinking?"

So today I did a psyc experiment for a Rice grad student. In my years of college i think i've already done over twenty hours of psychology experiments. I think i'm kinda abnormal so i hope i'm not messing up psychology research by participating in so many experiments.
After that I went to Jones to play some Smash Bros. Melee but then an alarm went off somewhere in the servery and I was forced to vacate the premises. So I just went to V's room to play DDR. The more I play DDR the more I realize how much i suck at it. it's easy for me to blame my poor performance on the pads but i think i just need to practice more. I want to get to the point where i can show off like the DDR Freaks.
An amazing thing happened: the Yu's gave us tickets to the KSBJ 20th anniversary concert. I wasn't planning to go but who can pass up free tickets? I'm glad I went. I always enjoy watching live bands, especially when they're singing songs I'm familiar with...even though some of the songs were somewhat "corny" I love listening to them anyway. You just gotta appreciate the sincerity of these artists. Their music and their worship just inspires me so much...i think i'll go play guitar now...
